September is Neighborhood Month
September is Boise's Neighborhood Month
Great neighborhoods are the foundation of a successful city. In Boise, each neighborhood contributes to the fabric of our community and deserves to be celebrated.
Each year the Energize Our Neighborhoods team will be collaborating with residents to offer engagement challenges, events, and fun opportunities to get involved - stay tuned to find out what's planned for 2019!
2018 Social Media Neighborhood Challenges
September is National Neighborhood Month! The Energize Our Neighborhoods team put together some fun challenges to encourage community members to get out and meet their neighbors. Participate in one, or all, and remember to share your photos by hashtagging #ENERGIZEBOISE.
- Sept. 1 - 23 | Kid's Art Contest
Draw a picture of something you love about your neighborhood.
- Sept. 9-15 | Healthy Communities
Get outside for an evening walk, jog or bike ride with your neighbors.
- Sept. 16 - 22 | PARK(ing) Day
Participate in National PARK(ing) Day on Sept. 21. Plan and coordinate with neighbors to turn a parking space into a temporary 'parklet.'
- Sept. 23 - 30 | Community Involvement
Do a good deed for your neighbors - bake some cookies, pull in a neighbor's trash can, help with yard work. Get creative and share your actions by taking a photo and tagging #ENERGIZEBOISE
